Welcome Lord Ganesh into your home this Ganesh Chaturthi with this regally dressed ~4 ft Visarjan Ganapati idol, hand-crafted in Plaster of Paris (POP) — the traditional medium chosen for its fine sculptable detail and readiness for the visarjan (immersion) ritual that closes the festival.
The four-armed Ganapati is seated in a calm, blessing posture beneath a broad gold fan mukut set with pink and red gems. A red-and-gold heavily embroidered uttariya and patka drape across the chest above a rich magenta-purple satin dhoti finished with a pink scalloped trim. He rests on an ornate carved dark-wood throne with a green oval backrest and lion-head armrests, softened by a magenta round bolster cushion.
Layered gold necklaces, bangles and armlets catch the light across the figure, a gold kalash stands at his side, and the faithful mushak waits attentively at his feet — small narrative details that give the piece its presence.
Hand-painted with vivid colour and fine gold detailing, this idol is part of the "Heritage" collection by Shri Venilals.

About our handmade products
Most of what we sell is made by hand in India: our murtis, mandirs, pooja items, sarees and clothing. Because each piece is made by hand, no two are exactly the same. The carving, painting, pattern, stitching or finish may differ a little from the photo. Wood grain and marble markings are natural and vary from piece to piece.
Colours can also look slightly different on each phone or laptop screen, and sizes are approximate.
If you need an exact colour, size or pattern, please message us on WhatsApp with a photo, or visit our shops on Ealing Road, Wembley, to see the item before you buy.
