Every idol is one of a kind, so the number on each tile is exactly what is left. Measure the space at home first — the height quoted includes the base. All idols are Click & Collect only.

Three ways Ganpati is dressed

Plain is hand-painted straight onto the clay, no added ornament. Jewellery style adds a moulded mukut, haar and gem detail worked into the idol itself. A full safa set dresses Ganpati in fabric — turban, robe and khes in brocade, velvet or paithani. Styles run from 12 inch upwards; every 6 and 8 inch idol is plain.

Five generations, four shops, one road

Our story began five generations ago in Surat, India's silk city, where the Venilals family first traded in fine sarees. Over 30 years ago we brought that tradition to Ealing Road, Wembley — starting with a single saree shop.

Today our four stores bring everything together for life's celebrations: wedding sarees and sherwanis, jewellery, murtis, mandirs and festive essentials.

Frequently asked

Can I have a Ganesh idol delivered?

No — every visarjan idol, eco-friendly clay and POP alike, is Click & Collect only. They're hand-painted and far too fragile to survive a courier, so we don't ship them at any size. Reserve online and you'll get an email when it's ready to collect.

Everything else on the site — mandirs, brass and marble murtis, sarees, jewellery — is delivered UK-wide as normal.

Can you get more of an idol I like?

No — each idol is a single piece, hand-finished, and we don't repeat them. What you see on the site is the whole of what's left this season. Once an idol sells it comes off the site altogether, so everything showing is genuinely still available.

If you have your eye on one, reserve it. Sizes go first, and the larger pieces go earliest.

What size idol should I choose?

Measure the space at home first — the height we quote includes the base. 6 to 8 inch suits a shelf or a first Ganpati; 12 to 15 inch suits most front rooms; 24 inch and above, including the POP range, are usually for halls and community celebrations.

What's the difference between plain, jewellery and safa set?

It's how Ganpati is dressed — the idol underneath is the same natural clay either way.

Plain is hand-painted straight onto the clay: khes and dhoti in colour, no fabric and no added ornament. The simplest and most classical.

Jewellery style has the ornament moulded and painted into the idol itself — mukut, haar, ear medallions and gem detail. Richer to look at, without the bulk of cloth.

Safa set dresses Ganpati in real fabric — a turban with a matching robe and khes in brocade, velvet or paithani. The most dressed of the three.

Styles are available from 12 inch upwards. Every 6 and 8 inch idol is plain.

What's the difference between eco-friendly and POP idols?

Our eco range is natural clay with water-soluble finishes, so it dissolves cleanly during visarjan. POP idols are plaster of Paris — they hold finer detail and come in the larger sizes, from 2.5 up to 4.5 ft, which is why they're popular for halls and community pandals.

Where do I collect my idol or murti from?

Idols and murtis can be collected from either of two shops, a few doors apart on Ealing Road:

Heritage — 97 Ealing Road, 1st Floor, Wembley HA0 4BN — 07342 737227
Celebrations — 99-103 Ealing Road, Wembley HA0 4BP — 020 8795 3051

Reserve online, wait for the ready-to-collect email, then come in with your order confirmation and tell us which of the two is easier for you.

Bring a car for any idol from 2 ft, and a van or an estate for the 4 ft and 4.5 ft pieces — they don't fold. We'll help you load.

How quickly can I get my order? What is the 3pm cut-off?

Two options at checkout on everything we send out:

Standard Delivery — 3 to 5 working days. £3.00 on orders under £15, £4.00 from £15 to £99.99, £7.00 on £100 and over.

Royal Mail Tracked 24 — order before 3pm. £4.00 on orders under £15 and £6.95 from £15 to £99.99. Orders of £100 and over go by DPD Next Day at £9.95.

Tracked 24 is a tracked service that aims to deliver the next working day — it is not guaranteed. Order before 3pm, Monday to Friday and it goes out the same day. Orders placed after 3pm, at a weekend or on a bank holiday are sent on the next working day.

Tracked 24 isn't available on Ganesh idols or mandirs, which are collection only, or on bajots and pooja chowkis, which travel by courier on their own rates.
