Pooja Bell – Brass Ghanti
Pooja Bell – Brass Ghanti

A solid brass pooja bell with a stepped, flared skirt and a cast handle finished with a small finial. Rung properly it gives a clear, sustained tone that carries rather than stopping short — the mark of a bell cast in one piece from decent brass rather than pressed from sheet.
Sized for the hand and for a home mandir rather than a temple, so it can be rung comfortably through a full aarti without tiring the wrist.
Significance: The ghanti is rung at the start of pooja to announce the prayer and to mark the moment the deity is invited to be present, and again throughout aarti alongside the lamp. The sustained note is held to clear the space and settle the mind of everyone in the room — practically, it is also what draws the household together at the start of prayer.
