Long Cotton Wicks – 20g

Long cut cotton wicks, 20g to a pack. Plain untwisted cotton, cut to length.

Cut long so they can be doubled over or trimmed to suit whatever lamp you are using. Suits tall standing brass lamps and the deeper diyas, where a small rolled vati would sit below the oil line and drown.

Significance: The plain long wick is the everyday workhorse of the mandir — cheap, simple, and easy to cut down. Kept alongside the phool vati so there is always something to hand whatever lamp comes out.
