A decorative jhula (palna) for Bal Gopal — the little swing that Laddu Gopal sits in on the mandir shelf, and the one that comes out for Janmashtami. Moulded in lightweight plastic with a bright gold finish, with enamelled colour work on the peacocks and lotus seat.
Two tall posts, each topped with a green and black peacock, carry the swing on fine chains. The seat is a pink lotus with a carved backrest, set on a fluted oval base. This one folds flat, so it packs away between festivals.
