A hand-carved Sevan wood mandir in its pale natural colour, with a clear satin finish. No stain and no paint, just the wood grain and the carving. It has a calmer look than a painted mandir and suits a modern room.
The two doors have a carved lattice pattern around standing deity figures. A pair of carved peacocks sits on top of the roof. Grooved pillars run down each side. Two drawers under the platform hold agarbatti, wicks, kumkum and prayer beads. It stands on round feet.
Close the doors to keep dust off your murtis between prayers. Open them and you see the full carved space. At 18.5 inches wide and 28 high, this is a proper family mandir with room for a set of murtis, a thali and a diya.

About our handmade products
About our handmade products
Most of what we sell is made by hand in India: our murtis, mandirs, pooja items, sarees and clothing. Because each piece is made by hand, no two are exactly the same. The carving, painting, pattern, stitching or finish may differ a little from the photo. Wood grain and marble markings are natural and vary from piece to piece.
Colours can also look slightly different on each phone or laptop screen, and sizes are approximate.
If you need an exact colour, size or pattern, please message us on WhatsApp with a photo, or visit our shops on Ealing Road, Wembley, to see the item before you buy.
