POP Ganesh Visarjan Idol – Powder Blue & Blush Pink on Carved Throne, ~4ft

Welcome Lord Ganesh into your home this Ganesh Chaturthi with this gracefully coloured ~4 ft Visarjan Ganapati idol, hand-crafted in Plaster of Paris (POP) — the traditional medium chosen for its fine sculptable detail and readiness for the visarjan (immersion) ritual that closes the festival.

A tall ornate gold crown set with green and teal gems rises above the brow, and a powder-blue satin uttariya sweeps over the left shoulder and down past the knee. The pale blush-pink pleated dhoti below is trimmed with gold beadwork, the two soft tones balancing each other beautifully.

Ganapati is seated on an ornate dark carved throne worked with peacock and navy motifs. Gold necklaces set with red stones layer across the chest, gold bangles ring each wrist, and painted tilak markings pick out the brow and trunk.

Hand-painted with vivid colour and fine gold detailing, this idol is part of the "Heritage" collection by Shri Venilals.
