Welcome Lord Ganesh into your home this Ganesh Chaturthi with this softly toned ~4 ft Visarjan Ganapati idol, hand-crafted in Plaster of Paris (POP) — the traditional medium chosen for its fine sculptable detail and readiness for the visarjan (immersion) ritual that closes the festival.

A jewelled gold crown centred on a blue gem sits above unusually large, fan-like ears lined in pink — a striking sculptural feature of this piece. A teal-turquoise uttariya crosses the shoulder above a soft blush-pink dhoti finished with a silver-white lace border, the pleats fanning wide to either side.

Silver and jewelled necklaces set with blue and red stones layer across the chest, with gold bangles at each wrist. Ganapati is seated on a silver and lavender lotus base whose petals curl upward around him, and his palm is marked with a painted swastika of blessing.

Hand-painted with vivid colour and fine gold detailing, this idol is part of the "Heritage" collection by Shri Venilals.

About our handmade products

Most of what we sell is made by hand in India: our murtis, mandirs, pooja items, sarees and clothing. Because each piece is made by hand, no two are exactly the same. The carving, painting, pattern, stitching or finish may differ a little from the photo. Wood grain and marble markings are natural and vary from piece to piece.

Colours can also look slightly different on each phone or laptop screen, and sizes are approximate.

If you need an exact colour, size or pattern, please message us on WhatsApp with a photo, or visit our shops on Ealing Road, Wembley, to see the item before you buy.
