Eco-Friendly Ganesh Visarjan Idol – Yellow Khes & Pink Dhoti, Turquoise Bolster, ~15 inch

A golden yellow khes sweeps over the shoulder and across the back above a hot pink dhoti, with a round turquoise bolster and its gold button sitting behind him on a bright green mat.

One of nine Plain-tier idols in this year's 15 inch range — the turquoise bolster is the only one of its colour in the tier.

Hand-painted on eco-friendly clay, ready for a gentle biodegradable immersion.

He's seated in lalitasana rather than fully cross-legged, one knee raised and the other foot brought forward, the relaxed royal posture used when a deity is shown at ease rather than in meditation. The plinth beneath is moulded with a dentil border and painted to read as carved wood.
