Eco-Friendly Ganesh Visarjan Idol – Red Khes & White Dhoti, Modak Offerings, ~15 inch

A crimson red khes passes over the shoulder and down the back above a white dhoti edged in a thin gold line, with a pile of coloured modaks moulded at the base and a red sash tail spilling over the front of the seat.

One of nine Plain-tier idols in this year's 15 inch range, and the only one dressed in white.

Hand-painted on eco-friendly clay, ready for a gentle biodegradable immersion.

The modaks at his feet are picked out in purple, green, yellow and red with a gold tip on each, and his forward foot rests on a yellow bolster that doubles as a footstool. The brow band of the mukut carries a carved kirtimukh, the guardian lion-face that traditionally sits above temple doorways.
