Eco-Friendly Ganesh Visarjan Idol – Marigold Dhoti & Crimson Khes, Gold Fan Mukut, 12 inch

A bright marigold yellow dhoti painted straight onto the clay with deep moulded folds pooling over the left knee, under a thick crimson red khes sculpted over both shoulders that hangs in a heavy pleated fall down the whole back.

The headdress is a broad gold scalloped fan mukut sitting over waved gold hair with a small finial at the crown. Two moulded gold ornaments cross the chest — a fine beaded chain and a wide crescent haar set with floral medallions — with armlets, bangles and toe rings all in gold relief. He sits in lalitasana on a stack of cushions, an emerald bolster and a violet cushion resting on a brown carved chowki with gold scrollwork, the whole thing on a pale lilac slab.

The stacked seat gives this one more height than the other painted murtis in the batch without changing the size of the figure itself. Eco clay, hand-painted, and made to dissolve rather than settle.
