Eco-Friendly Ganesh Visarjan Idol – Magenta Dhoti & Marigold Khes, Spiral Tilak, 12 inch

A strong magenta dhoti with gold border lines and a gold band across the folded knee, under a marigold yellow khes thrown over the left shoulder that falls in long ribbed folds down the back and over the cushion.

The crown is a gold mukut with two ribbed fan flares and a domed central boss. A wide moulded gold beaded necklace sits on the chest with a large lotus rosette at the centre, with armlets, bangles and an upper-arm cuff. He sits on a plain pale lilac plinth with a bright green bolster at his left that the yellow khes drapes across, the grey mushak at the front right.

The forehead is the giveaway on this one — two red-orange spirals curling around a small white flower above a red Om, a tilak the painter used on no other piece in the batch. Hand-modelled and painted on eco clay, made to break down in water.
